Bearcats & Musketeers Vs. Cancer Golf Event

This second annual golf event unites supporters of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier Musketeers in the fight against a common adversary that kills more than 600,000 Americans each year. Fans of the two schools will team up to tee off against cancer at the beautiful Clovernook Country Club golf course.

The event will conjure memories of the intense basketball rivalry between the two schools that play out each winter. Proceeds will benefit clinical trial cancer research at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center and the undergraduate nursing program at Xavier University and Cincinnati Cancer Advisors’ mission of providing no-cost, platinum-level oncology consultation services to more than 300 cancer patients in the Greater Cincinnati area each year.

All are welcome to participate and everyone is guaranteed a day of great fun, whether you are a UC fan, a Xavier fan, or just someone wanting to soak up some of the energy from this infamous local rivalry. Golfers will register as a supporter of either UC or Xavier and the school whose supporters post the best overall average score will be awarded the “Fore a Good Cause” cup.

The course competition will be fierce, but the fun will culminate at an after-party. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., NFL Hall of Famer Anthony Muñoz and former Bengal / current Bengals broadcaster Dave Lapham will recap the Bengals’ historic 2021-2022 season and give their bird’s eye view on the upcoming 2022-2023 season.
